Artist's Statement
Growing up in New Mexico, surrounded by the natural elements and colors of the earth,
I developed a fascination for stones, metals, and textures. As my appreciation for art and sculpture grew, so did
my love of shapes, colors and the relationship between them. My creative outlet became jewelry. |
|
| Jewelry, it seems, is much
more than just adornment. It represents many aspects of a culture, be it
ancient or modern. But it is simultaneously a very personal expression of
style, personality and mood. To this point, every piece that I have created is
inspired by a culture, by artwork, or by the shape or color of the stones
themselves. My hope is that if you bond
with a piece, it will become an active part of your collection as my intention
is to create pieces that can be worn year after year and not fall prey to any
trend of the day. |

"Elements" Collection
This is a mixed-media collection using
leather, wood and semi-precious stones to create a unique artistic statement. I
examine the relationships between shapes, colors and textures to give each
pendant its own unique personality. The necklace is strung with glass or metal
beads and sheer ribbon. |
 |
"Mobile" Series Collection
Inspired by Alexander Calder, each Mobile Series
necklace has a
free-swinging pendant with a playful balance of semi-precious stones. Each
necklace is one-of-a-kind using materials that play well together. |
